First Hawkins Award Winner

On Oct. 2, former Lindbergh Board member and 46-year Kiwanis member Ted Hawkins passed away.  In addition to his service to the Lindbergh School District, he spent his career helping others as executive director of the YMCA and was a good friend to Builders Club and enjoyed working with them on service projects.

Truman/Sperreng Builders Club wanted to honor his memory by creating the "Hawkins Award".  Each quarter, at both Truman and Sperreng, teachers and staff will  nominate students who have gone out of their way to help someone else, either a fellow student or adult in the building.  Truman's first recipient to the Hawkins Award goes to Abby Juedemann.
