Abiltiy Awareness

Ability awareness day gives all 7th graders the opportunity to learn about various different disabilities and how they may effect every day life for those who have a disability.  Students are given a large group presentation by Katie and Steve Bannister from Access-4-All and then get the chance to hear personal stories and ask questions in three different break out sessions with people who have disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Tourettes Syndrome and more.
