Poutine
On December 15 and 16, Madame Denney's French students had a chance to try 'poutine'! What is Poutine? Poutine is a common Canadian dish originating inQuébec. It is made with french fries, topped with a light brown gravy and melted cheese. This food dish can be found across Canada and is also found in some places in the northern United States. It is sold in small diners (commonly known as cantines or casse-croûtes in Québec), as well as by roadside chip wagons. National and international chains like New York Fries, McDonald's, Wendy's, A&W, KFC, Burger King and Harvey's also sell mass-market poutine in many areas of Canada. The students gave it two thumbs up!
