Poutine

On December 15 and 16, Madame Denney's French students had a chance to try 'poutine'!  What is Poutine? Poutine is a common Canadian dish originating inQuébec.  It is made with french fries, topped with a light brown gravy and melted cheese. This food dish can be found across Canada and is also found in some places in the northern United States. It is sold in small diners (commonly known as cantines  or casse-croûtes  in Québec), as well as by roadside chip wagons.  National and international chains like New York FriesMcDonald'sWendy'sA&WKFCBurger King and Harvey's also sell mass-market poutine in many areas of Canada.  The students gave it two thumbs up!

Trend~Tilles Park

TREND members visited Tilles Park Winter Wonderland last Friday.  TREND members met at Sperreng where they did some activities and had a pizza party.   They then loaded the bus for the trip to the Winter Wonderland.  Some students decided to incorporate the Polar Express theme and wear pajamas.  Holiday songs were sung and everyone seemed to enjoy the beautiful light display.  TREND is sponsored by Ms. Frank/Truman and Ms. Argent/Sperreng.
