*=Students will be judged on their attire.  One person from each grade will win a prize!

 

Digital Footprints

 

 

 Students in Ms. Avery's Digital Literacy class learned about their digital footprints. Google, Facebook, YouTube and Lindbergh Schools were common sites listed in the footprints.

Truman Fitness Room

Truman students participate in PE classes everyday.   Besides the different sports activities, fitness tests, and the usual activities you think of for PE class, students have a fitnesss room to utelize.  There are free weights, cardio machines, exercise videos, ropes, a suspension system called TRX and punching bags. 

Pink Out Cancer

The Truman office staff along with many other Lindbergh staff and students wore their Pink Out shirts on Friday.  LHS cheerleaders were selling Pink Out shirts to raise money for the Susan Komen Foundation.   Everyone was encouraged to wear their shirts to the High School football game to help paint the stadium pink.

Magazine Sales

Students participating in the fall magazine sales were awarded many incentives for different amounts of orders turned in.  Some students played in a 2 person water balloon toss.  The 2 student winning team won $50.  The real winner is our school who benefits from the proceeds.

Flyer Time = Community

Mrs. Hake's Flyer Time class was working on becoming a community. They were practicing juggling to incorporate teamwork, patience and tolerance. Each student was given a number and then they had to remember whose number was before theirs and whose came after so they knew where the object would be coming from and where they needed to toss it. They started by juggling 1 thing.
They then tried to juggle multible things. At one point Mrs. Hake told the students to position themselves anyway they wanted to help the process but they had to keep their original numbers.

As an observer I noticed that yarn with a loose end is probably not a good thing to juggle.
