Geography Bee

Congratulations to all of the participants of Truman Middle School's first Geography Bee.

1st = Sam

2nd = Phillip

3rd = Grant

Sam will now take a paper test to see if he qualifies for the next round of competition at the state level.

Ice Out Bullying

Students got a chance to show their support to stop bullying and celebrate with ice cream.  Take a look here for more pictures.

Tobacco Prevention

Young Choices, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that develops tobacco prevention programs for children, adults, schools, churches, community organizations and businesses.
Don Young’s versatile program on the hazards of tobacco includes stark pictures of himself, his personal story, and that of others who have suffered tobacco’s devastating effects.

While there are many prevention programs from which to choose, Young Choices is the most effective program of its kind.

Mr. Young brought his presentation to Truman students on Tuesday, January 10th. 

Snow~After School Activities Cancelled

All after school activities at Truman are cancelled this evening due to imclement weather. 

Flyer Time Service~Support the Pond

Students in Ms. Stoerger's Flyer Time class are trying to raise money to help support the care of the pond in our courtyard.  This past week they were selling beautiful sequined headband that one of the students actually made.  The headbands sold for $4.50 and are still available if you would like to buy one for yourself or a friend.

Truman's First All School Assembly

Truman held its first all school assembly on December 16, 2011.  The orchestra, choir and band entertained the staff and students with music they have been working on all year.  Everyone enjoyed the assembly and was greeted by a special visitor at the end of the show.
